Update

Well, I wish I could say that I haven't written in a while because I've been so busy and so much is going on--well, it has been quite the opposite. Not much new in the Paulk household the last few weeks.

The last two weekends I've had bridal showers to attend. The first was Katherine's shower. She is a great friend I've known since we were practially in diapers. I am in her wedding on the 9th and am really looking forward to seeing her and her future husband, Pat (who I also went to school with). Then, last weekend I "hosted" a bridal shower for my future sister-in-law, Britton. She and my brother, Kolby, are getting married on August 2nd. Ty is in their wedding that is being held in Alpena, MI where she is from.

One of Riley's favorite things to do when I make dinner is play in the sink with her toys. I don't usually mind because I can get dinner done and she's occupied. However, after the MAJOR spill she took, there is no more playing in the sink. She must have spilled a little water on the step stool she was standing on and she slipped and hit her cheek really bad on the counter. It literally looked like a chunk of her cheek was missing. Poor thing, a week later and it's still there.

Riley and her "owie"(it actually looks worse in person)...

This week Lincoln has taken a bath in a normal baby tub (instead of his hammock). He's grown out of the hammock part of his tub, so now he's a big boy taking big boy baths.

Look at that gut. :)

I also think he's becoming a bit spoiled. If we put him down and walk away he starts fussing really bad, then we come and talk to him and he's all smiles, then walk away and he cries...I think we've created a monster :)! Could it be because of my rule that after Riley goes to bed one of us has to be holding him at all times??? I suppose that's a possibility. I just feel bad that I don't hold Lincoln nearly as much as I did Riley because I simply can't. I've got Riley to tend to also. When we only had one baby she was never (literally) put done. But it's probably better this way. Maybe he'll be a little more independent than Riley is.

Lincoln-10 weeks

We're going to be taking them to the zoo soon too, so keep your eyes peeled for pictures :)!

I've been waiting for updates!! :) Sorry about Riley's owie! It looks like it's still pretty red. Lincoln is getting so big too! Hard to believe he's almost 3 months! Also by the way Nich thanks you for letting Ty come see Batman - I do too since I wasn't REALLY looking forward to going with him! :)

Lincoln is getting so big! He's adorable!
Sorry to hear about Riley (in this post and the other post). It would be nice if they listened to you the first time...it would save them from a lot of scrapes, bruises and time outs. They'll learn eventually! :)
