Menu Plan Monday...on Tuesday!

Well, I'm a day behind. It's been a long week (already) of taking care of two sick babies--not sure what's going on but they're going to the doctor tomorrow. Probably just a virus, but man when you've got two clingy babes it makes for a couple of long days. I hope they feel better soon, I hate when they're sick!! Anyways, here is what we're eating for the rest of the week:

Wednesday: Beef Stew (Thanks Rachel!!)
Thursday: Sub Sandwiches, chips
Friday: Bacon Stuffed Chicken, broccoli
Saturday: Going out with friends...without the kids!! (YIKES, I've never left Lincoln before and have only left Riley like 3 times since she's been born...but they'll be with my mom, so it'll be okay???!!!)
Sunday: Chicken Noodle Soup, J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits (so good and so easy)

Menu Plan Monday-Sept. 22nd, 2008

This week is "Family Favorites Edition"...include one link or recipe to let everyone know it's been made before and is SO good! :) So since I didn't get to my chicken pot pit last week, we're going to try it again this week. It is definitely one of our favorites, the only thing I do different than the recipe is I put an egg wash on the crusts, SO GOOD!

Last week was bad, it's that simple. Riley, Lincoln and I were sick most of the week so we didn't get to much. Pretty much leftovers and whatever we could find so I didn't have to cook. BLAH! This week is busy, too. Riley's birthday is on Tuesday and mine is on Friday, then Riley's birthday party is on Sunday! YEAH!!

Monday: Brats, scalloped potatoes, peas

Tuesday: Chicken Pot Pie and Parmesan knots( Riley's 2nd b-day!)

Wednesday: Tomato Bacon Rotini, broccoli

Thursday: Haven't decided yet...I'll get to it later :)

Friday: Out to dinner for my b-day!

Saturday: Leftovers

Sunday: Riley's birthday party, so what I'm making for the party is what we're eating for lunch and dinner :).

Menu Plan Monday

Well, last week didn't quite go as planned and this week will probably be even worse. Ty works every night until 7:00pm or later, except on Thursday which is when I have a get-together with my M.O.P.S group, so I'll be gone. I'm still not that great at making dinner, entertaining a 2-year old and holding a 4 month old all at the same time, probably wouldn't be too safe. So we'll see...

Monday: Hamburgers on the grill, Twice baked potatoes, Corn on the cob

Tuesday: Spaghetti, Meatballs and Garlic Bread (the second week in a row I didn't get to this; 3rd time's a charm???)

Wednesday: Grilled Brats, Scalloped potatoes, peas

Thursday: Ty's night to cook for himself and Riley (so probably oatmeal or cereal :)).

Friday: Garage sale night, so probably PB&J and mixed veggies for Ri and whatever we can find.

Saturday: Angel hair chicken pasta (Yup, didn't get to this one either...)

Sunday: Homemade Chicken Pot-Pie (LOVE IT), Parmesan knots

Do any of you have any great recipes I should try?? Let me know, send me the link or leave me a comment of what it is. I'm always trying to find something new to fit into our "rotation"!

New Years Resolution in September???

Better late than never, right? Well, here it goes, 9 months into the year and I'm getting organized!! Starting this week I'm beginning "Menu Plan Monday" and having a weekly cleaning schedule among other things. We'll see how it goes. It is my attempt to getting more organized and saving $$ at the same time. "Menu Plan Monday" I found through a site and it links together all the blogs that are apart of it and I can view other weekly meals from fellow bloggers. So, instead of going to the store and buying anything and everything that looks good I'll be buying what I need for dinners the ENTIRE week.
I've always done something like this, writing down what I'm going to make all week, but rarely do I stick to it. I hoping this will help keep me more accountable. Ty's also hoping that it cuts down on me saying "OH SHOOT, Ty can you run to Meijer and get... please!" 5 times/ week. Also by making a menu I can use the weekly ads and make my menu around what's on sale that week. It will also eliminate fast-food for the most part. I'll try to make enough for leftovers (which Ty loves) for his lunch every day for work so he won't have to go out to eat (which he hates fast-food). I will occasionally "link" recipes to the menu so if something sounds good that we're having you can look up the recipe and use it too. I'm ALWAYS looking for new and EASY recipes. so if you have any great recipes or recipe sites that you have and want to share PLEASE let me know!!!
