Anyone ever make the mistake of asking someone when they are due, when in fact they aren't pregnant? Well, people make that mistake more often than you probably think...and I think that most of those people just have to ask me...
To tell you the truth I'm a bit tired to getting asked when I'm due or people telling me congratulations on my pregnancy. I know Lincoln is only a month old but man losing weight this time around has been much more difficult for some reason. Maybe it's because it's my second pregnancy or maybe it's because I put on almost 45 lbs (oops...it must have been those 10 candy bars I ate in 2 days, at least that's what my mom tells me all the time). Either way, I look forward to the day when people don't think I'm pregnant anymore. I still have almost 20 lbs to lose before the beginning of August for my brother's wedding and my good friend Katherine's wedding that I'm in. Anyways, just a bit of advise, if you're not 100% sure if someone is preggo then I wouldn't ask :)!
Another depressing situation that I experienced today...looking for a bathing suit!! I went to find a bathing suit today (my first outing without either of the kiddos) and man it was not fun!! I signed Riley up for swimming lessons which start the beginning of July and after doing so remembered that would mean that I would have to be in the pool too, therefore I needed a bathing suit too. Nothing fit right, not that I expected anything different considering my clothes still don't fit.
It has been hard to exercise or even do sit-ups because a week after Lincoln was born I decided it would be a good idea to take Ri and Lincoln to the park. I was so excited that I could finally play with Riley again because I wasn't huge anymore so I decided to go down the slides with her. Not the best idea. I cracked my tail bone and it still hurts really bad 3 weeks later. So, my stupid "injury" has put my exercising on hold (not that I would have started yet anyways :)!) Anyways, I hope to be able to lose the weight soon and get back into my old clothes.
If all that weren't bad enough, I had to go to the doctor this morning because I have a double breast infection. It hurts SO BAD I can hardly stand it. I had the same problem when I was nursing Riley. It got so bad last time that I had to go to the ER and get an IV. I hope I caught it early enough, this time around. Only time will tell...

Hey Shelby,
Hang in there! I know it's tough...and frustrating. I was actually carrying Kylie in her carseat the library (she was 3 months at the time) and the librarian asked me when I was due! It was soooo frustrating. I can relate. My only advice to you (as if I've lost all the baby weight!) is to remind yourself daily that you had two kids in 18 months. That's huge. I still have a poofy tummy at four months and the only thing that fits are my "fat clothes"....and I have to admit, I still wear maternity pants sometimes just because I am tired of having a muffin top! :) It will all be OK. You'll get there. They always say..."10 month on...10 months to get it off!"...even with the 10 candy bars :) That's hilarious :) I'll be praying your infection heals quickly. Hang in there :)
Love,
Kel :)
I thought that most people knew that "rule of thumb" to never ask a woman if she is pregnant! You will get there soon! :) (i'm still not back to pre-preggo weight) Kaitlyn and I will be in Michigan June 25-July 15, yay! We will be Alma for 3 days (July 7-9) and then I have weddings galore June 28 and July 12. Other that that, we are pretty open :) I hope it works out to get together :)
Oh Shel....you have always been beautiful and you still are. You will always be beautiful. Some people are stupid and rude. I bet the swimsuit looks great on you!! I like the style you picked out.
I hope you get feeling better soon. If there's anything I can do, let me know. I can come down any day next week if you need me :)
I hope Riley has fun at swim lessons. Take some pics and tell me all about it :)
Miss ya!!! Call me anytime if you need to talk. I can't relate to having 2 kids, but I'm a good listener!!

Oh Shelby!
Don't get frustrated! I, too, gained over 40 lbs during my pregnancy, and just recently got back down to my pre-baby weight, and Tanner will be a year old soon! Just look at how AMAZING your body is that it carried two healthy babies and then delivered them! Be kind to yourself!! Besides, I always figure nobody else really looks at my body anyways -- they are too busy checking out my baby!
Hey there! I found your blog through Ashley's... whose I found through Allison and Robert Wheelers. Anyhow... I have two little guys- Porter is 2 and Hudson is 5weeks. I still have 15lbs left to lose and I swear I'm so unmotivated this time around. Ugh. Anyhow... I feel ya on the still looking a bit pregnant. Ick.
